New 2024 Volvo C40 Recharge, Release Date, Price – The Volvo C40 Recharge coupe is a trim level of the C40 Recharge. As with earlier coupe SUVs, the C40 Recharge delivers multiple of the same usefulness as a conventional SUV but in a more streamlined, low-profile package. BMW and Mercedes-Benz are two German automakers that have built fortunes by producing cars that people enjoy driving.
Volvo’s effort to produce an electric SUV is far from complete, but the C40 Recharge has emerged as the show-stopper. Unlike the XC40 Recharge, which is also available with a conventional combustion engine and marketed simply as the XC40, the C40 Recharge is the first Volvo designed exclusively as an electric car from the ground up. This establishes the automobile as unique in the Swedish automaker’s almost century-long history.
Redesign
The outside of the C40 is fascinating. It achieves its coupe-like appearance with a lower roofline that tapers steeply toward the back. The taillights have been merged into the tailgate’s sidewalls, and a decorative and aerodynamic spoiler has been created. The front end has been completely redesigned to distinguish it from the XC40s. Isn’t that true? The C40 is a break from Volvo’s previous all-electric vehicle design strategy, but we expect it to be the same as other all-electric Volvos.
Volvo states that the headlights are equipped with cutting-edge pixel technology. Additionally, the carved lines throughout the body, most notably on the sides, are important visual features. For example, the front and back doors seem to be concavely angled. The black roof and bottom portion provide contrast to the chosen paint color.
Interior
The interior of the C40 is almost identical to that of the S40, down to the dashboard and center console arrangement. Because the C40 Recharge is a more specialized model geared at users who place a high premium on aesthetics, it will be offered in various colors and design options. Customers concerned with the environment and animals will be relieved to discover that this is the first Volvo to be leather-free. The C40 Recharge will share the C40 Recharge’s Android-based infotainment system.
This system was developed in partnership with Google and contained many Google-designed applications and services, including Google Maps, Google Assistant, and the Google Play Store. Additionally, owners will benefit from frequent software updates via over-the-air. Volvo did not give interior dimensions, although as is customary with SUV to SUV coupe conversions, rear passenger headroom, and cargo space are lost. It is reasonable to suppose that is also true in this circumstance.
Engine
The C40 Recharge is propelled by two electric motors, one on each axle. They are powered by a 78 kWh battery pack, somewhat more significant than the 75 kWh battery pack featured in the XC40 Recharge, and can be charged to 80% in 40 minutes. Naturally, setting at home takes longer, and charging over a 240-volt plug may reach speeds of up to 25 miles per hour.
Volvo estimates a range of 261 miles on the WLTP cycle, which equates to around 210 miles in EPA testing, but warns that this figure may grow with future over-the-air software updates. Total output should be close to the XC40 Recharge’s 402 horsepower and 486 pound-feet of torque. According to the statistics, it takes 4.7 seconds to go from 0 to 60 miles per hour.
Release Date and Price
As part of its recently announced simplified model package structure, Volvo will solely offer the 2024 C40 Recharge online. Although pricing has not been announced, it is likely to cost more than the $53,990 starting price of the XC40 Recharge. Tax incentives at the state and federal levels will aid in cost reduction.
